MedicView Virtual Colonoscopy has not only an intuitive user interface to simply lead you through an examination, but also works on the most advanced mathematical algorithms. These appoint unparalleled high frame rates to bring an amazing 60-second pre-processing time, fast examination, and most importantly, an automatic fly through the patient’s whole colon.

Simply prepare patient’s CT scans for examination
After two CT scans taken in supine and prone position, DICOM images are sent to a computer which automatically preprocesses the 2D images in a record 1 minute time to reconstruct a 3D model of the colon and the surrounding organs.

Choose your favourite perspective of the colon
An interactive navigation consists of a 3D window, Axial, Sagittal and Coronal 2D windows which are always synchronized showing the current position of the virtual camera from different perspectives . 3D Interactive colon model also shows your current position within the colon.
These images are generated live at maximum quality through realtime high speed 3D rendering.

Make an automated but interactive colon examination
Navigation inside the colon takes you quickly through the entire colon antegrade and retrograte and thus making a complete examination of the colon lumen in shortest time possible. Interactive tools enable you to leave the automatic flight anytime flying off the centreline and going closer to the potential colon abnormality. Tools include 2D axial measurements such as Distance, Angle or ROI tools, which are supplemented with 3D polyp measurements to measure the polyp in 3D space. You can also use the outside view which includes an arrow to show the current endoscopic position.

And finally, create a report
In order to make the examination even faster, MedicView Virtual Colonoscopy has integrated templetized reports which can be created from any image regardless of its format. To finalise the report, you only fill in the predefined fields, which requires just a few clicks, and make the appropriate recommendations. Reports can be also backed up with a flexible movie creator function.
